Fien Jorissen draws in pencil, often using a lightbox to trace initial drawings and create a composition, before finishing the work digitally. For some commissions Fien goes on to create a Risograph print of the work which is then photographed. Her work is inspired by surrealism and characterised by her multi-panel narrative observations. She has published several comics alongside working commercially for The New York Times, de Volkskrant, The Economist, The New Yorker, Wired and The Guardian amongst others.
